October 12 (SeeNews) - South Korean manufacturer of cables for the automotive industry Yura Corporation plans to invest a total of 35 million euro ($41.5 million) in the opening of two more plants in Leskovac, southern Serbia, mayor Goran Cvetanovic said.
Yura plans to invest 20 million euro in the construction of a factory, which will be completed in May 2018, plus 15 million in another production site later, Cvetanovic said on Wednesday, as quoted in a statement by the city government on Thursday.

The South Korean company will open a total of 1,000 jobs at the two plants, Cvetanovic said.
Yura opened a factory for the production of car cable sets in Leskovac, its fourth in Serbia, in March 2012. The company also operates two factories in Nis, and one in Raca.
The company was the 14th biggest Serbian exporter for the first nine months of 2017 with sales abroad worth 105.1 million euro, according to data posted on the website of Serbia's finance ministry.
