November 6 (SeeNews) - Moldova's finance ministry said that the country received a 275 million rubles ($3.54 mln/ 2.98 million euro) grant from Russia to help agricultural producers deal with the effects of this year's draught.
The financing is provided under an agreement between the finance ministries of the two countries and does not entail any financial obligations for Moldova, the finance ministry said in a press release on Thursday.

According to data from Moldova's agriculture ministry, some 60% of crops were affected from draught in Moldova this year, and damages are estimated at about 1.2 billion lei ($70 million/ 59 million euro).
In September, Moldova's government said that it will allocate a total 300 million lei to help farmers affected by draught.
