October 3 (SeeNews) - The authorities of the Romanian city of Timisoara, in the west of the country, said they invested 22.3 million lei ($4.7 million/4.5 million euro) in the renovation of one of the largest local cinemas, Timis Cinema.
The works were carried out by local company Audiotech Multimedia Group, the Timisoara city hall said in a press release on Monday.
The renovated building now houses a hall for film screenings, concerts and other events with a capacity for 529 people and a 120-seat multifunctional hall.
Timis Cinema will reopen on October 13.
Built in the 1980s, Timis Cinema operated until 2017 under the management of RADEF Romania Film.
