December 11 (SeeNews) - Romanian producer of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polypropylene (PP) building materials Teraplast sees its net profit at 16.43 million lei ($5.7 million/3.9 million euro) next year, the company said on Friday.
Teraplast gave no comparative figures, but in April it said it expects 16.2 million lei net profit in 2009. Teraplast reported 11.4 million lei net profit in the first nine months of 2009, down from 15.63 million lei a year earlier.
Teraplast said in a statement it expects 234.08 million lei turnover in 2010, according to the company’s budget, approved at a shareholders’ meeting on December 10.
The total revenue is seen at 243.09 million lei and total costs at 227.01 million in 2010, the company said.
Teraplast also said it plans to invest 21.5 million lei next year, it added but gave no additional details.
Teraplast (www.teraplast.ro) is based in the town of Bistrita, in northwestern Romania. Its shares were last traded 10.57% down at 0.55 lei on the Bucharest Stock Exchange on Monday.
The company is part of the Teraplast Group, together with plastic pipes manufacturer Politub and thermo-insulating sandwich panel producer Plastsistem, which are not listed on the Bucharest bourse.
