June 13 (SeeNews) - Romanian label and packaging printing company Rottaprint said on Tuesday that it plans to invest 2 million euro ($2.1 million) in new equipment and technologies this year.
The company has already acquired new printing equipment and plans to allocate 800,000 euro by the year's end for other technologies and logistics, it said in a press release.
Rottaprint's revenues grew 15% in the first five months of 2023, mainly thanks to the company's investment strategy, it added.
In 2022, Rottaprint booked a turnover of 157.1 million lei ($34.1 million/31.6 million euro) and a net profit of 3.9 million lei, the latest data from the finance ministry's website showed.
Rottaprint was founded in 1991. It operates two logistics centres in Romania, one in Germany and one in Hungary. The company specialises in producing and selling self-adhesive labels and flexible packaging.
