November 11 (SeeNews) - Romania's average net monthly wage edged down by a real 0.4% year-on-year in September, after rising 1.2% in August, the country's statistical office said on Tuesday.
On a monthly comparison basis, the real net wage was 0.1% higher in September, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) said in a monthly labour market report.
In nominal terms, the average net monthly wage rose 5.9% on the year and was 0.9% higher on the month in September, to 3,517 lei ($823/ 711 euro).
The highest net average wage of 8,578 lei was registered in computer programming, consultancy and related activities, while the lowest, of 1,929 lei, was recorded in the hospitality sector.
