February 11 (SeeNews) - Romania's average net monthly wage grew by a real 8.6% year-on-year in December, after growing by 9.8% in November, the country's statistical office said on Monday.
On a monthly comparison basis, the real net wage was 4.7% higher in December, the National Institute of Statistics (INS) said in a monthly labour market report.
In nominal terms, the average net monthly wage increased by 13% on the year and rose by 5.1% on the month in December, to 3,349 lei ($767/701 euro).
The highest net average wage of 7,689 lei was registered in IT, while the lowest, of 1,853 lei, was recorded in apparel manufacture.
