September 26 (SeeNews) - Romanian medical services provider MedLife [BSE:M] said on Wednesday it is expanding in the city of Oradea through the acquisition of Transilvania Imaging Center and the opening of its first hyperclinic in the city.
Transilvania Imaging Center is a provider of diagnostic, imaging and radiology medical services, one of the most important players on this segment in the northwestern part of the country, MedLife said in a press release.

The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
At the same time, MedLife announced that it has opened its first hyperclinic in the city - an investment worth 1.2 million euro (1.4 million). The team consists of over 60 doctors, nurses and ancillary staff.
"The inauguration of the first MedLife Hyperclinic in Oradea supports our plans for national expansion. It is a growing city, and the opening of a large clinic here comes to meet patients and provide them with integrated medical services at the highest standards," Mihai Marcu, CEO and president of MedLife, said.
Prior to the new investments, MedLife was present in Oradea with an analysis laboratory, inaugurated in March this year, and two sampling points.
In August, MedLife completed the acquisition of medical information platform Sfatulmedicului.ro for an undisclosed price.
MedLife's net profit decreased by 5.1% year-on-year to 6.07 million lei ($1.5 million/1.3 million euro) in the first half of 2018. The company's turnover increased by 24% on the year to 374 million lei in the period under review, led by a significant growth in all business lines, manly clinics, hospitals, pharmacies and laboratories, and by acquisitions made in the last two years.
MedLife shares traded flat at 27 lei on the Bucharest Stock Exchange as at 1403 CET on Wednesday.
