May 24 (SeeNews) - Romania's M3, the broadest gauge of the country's money supply, increased by a nominal 11.8% year-on-year in April, reaching 319.1 billion lei ($79 billion/70 billion euro), compared to a 12.2% rise in March, the central bank, BNR, said on Wednesday.
On a monthly comparison basis, Romania's M3 money supply rose 1.3% in April, BNR said in a statement.
In real terms, April M3 money supply was 11.1% higher on the year and 1% higher on the month.
Romania's M1 rose 22.3% on the year to 186.1 billion lei last month, after posting annual growth of 24% in March.
Net foreign assets grew by an annual 30% in April, reaching 153.3 billion lei, while net domestic assets fell by 1% to 165.7 billion lei.
