November 2 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Romania in the first nine months of 2018 rose by 5.5% on the year to more than 10 million, the country's statistical board, INS, said on Friday.
Tourists spent 22.5 million overnights in Romania in the January-September period, up 5.8% compared to the prior-year period, INS said in a statement.
In September alone, the number of tourists staying in Romania rose by 9.8% on the year to 1.3 million, while overnights were up 10.8% to some 3 million.

In 2017, the number of tourists staying in Romania rose 10.4% on the year to more than 12 million.
