November 1 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Romania in the first nine months of 2019 rose by 4.4% on the year to more than 10.45 million, the country's statistical board, INS, said on Friday.
Tourists spent 23.9 million overnights in Romania in the January-September period, up 6% compared to the prior-year period, INS said.
In September alone, the number of tourists staying in Romania increased 1.1% on the year to 1.31 million, while overnights increased by 1.5% to some 3.02 million.

The number of tourists staying in Romania in 2018 rose 6.3% on the year to 12.8 million.
