January 7 (SeeNews) - Romania issued 35,936 building permits for residential projects in January-November, down 1.5% year-on-year, the national statistical office, INS, said on Tuesday.
As many as 67.7% of the permits issued in November were for projects located in Romania's rural areas, INS said in a statement.
Only in November, Romania issued 3,423 building permits, down by 8.4% on the month and 5.6% lower year-on-year.
INS provided no figure for the value of the projects which were granted permits.
The total number of permits for residential buildings issued in 2018 was 42,694, up 2.6% on the year.
