April 11 (SeeNews) - Romania's industrial sales grew by 7.5% year-on-year in February, after advancing by 9.1% in January, data from the country's statistical office, INS, showed on Tuesday.
Sales in all main industrial groups posted annual growth in February, INS said in a press release.
Sales of capital goods grew by 13.6%, of energy by 18.7%, of durable goods by 8%, of non‐durable goods by 1.3% and of intermediate goods by 3.2%.
On a monthly comparison basis, Romania's industrial sales climbed 9.3% in February, following a 5.6% decrease in January.
In February, sales in almost industrial groups were higher compared with January: sales of non‐durable goods industry grew by 6.8%, of intermediate goods by 13.3%, of durable goods by 19.2%, and of capital goods by 9%. Energy industry sales were the only ones that fell month-on-month, by 4.8%.
Industrial sales rose 8.7% on the year in the first two months of 2017, INS figures showed.
In 2016, Romania's industrial sales increased 4.7%.
