May 5 (SeeNews) - Romanian investment fund Fondul Proprietatea [BSE:FP] said that it repurchased a total of 7,178,726 own shares and equivalent shares of global depositary receipts (GDRs) in the April 27 - May 1 period.
Fondul Proprietatea bought back 6,551,876 own shares for 7.6 million lei ($1.7 million/1.6 million euro) and 626,850 equivalent shares of GDRs for some 711,000 lei, the company said in a bourse filing on Monday.
The number of shares left to be repurchased within the eleventh buyback programme is 491,384,276.
As at 10:30 CET on Tuesday, Fondul Proprietatea shares traded 0.44% higher at 1.14 lei on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
