March 24 (SeeNews) - Romanian property restitution fund Fondul Proprietatea [BSE:FP] said that it has repurchased own shares and equivalent shares of global depositary receipts (GDRs) for a total of some $62.8 million (57.9 million euro) on March 16 and March 17.
Fondul Proprietatea bought back 124.478 million own shares for 173 million lei ($38.6 million/35.7 million euro) and 75.552 million equivalent shares of GDRs for $24.2 million, Fondul Proprietatea said in a bourse filing on Monday.
The number of shares left to be repurchased within the eleventh buyback programme is 600 million.
As at 9:30 CET on Tuesday, Fondul Proprietatea shares traded 5.34% higher at 1.085 lei on the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
