January 18 (SeeNews) - Romania's competition authority said it has approved the takeover of local healthcare services provider Life Line by Centrul Medical Unirea (CMU)
"Following a review of the transaction, the Competition Council has found that it does not raise significant obstacles to effective competition in the market, in particular by establishing or strengthening of a dominant position," the anti-trust body said in a statement on Monday.

Life Line operates the Columna Medical Center in Bucharest - a medical unit specialised in infertility diagnosis and treatment.
CMU is the operator of the Regina Maria private health network, which offers a wide range of clinical and paraclinical services, both outpatient and inpatient, as well as medical imaging and laboratory analysis services.
