November 26 (SeeNews) - The deposits of the non-governmental sector in Romanian banks grew 9.2% on the year to 317.4 billion lei ($77 billion/68 billion euro) in October, compared to an annual increase of 10.1% in September, the central bank, BNR, said on Monday.
Leu deposits increased 6.9% year-on-year to 210 billion lei in October, after growing by 7.5% in the previous month, BNR said in a monthly monetary statistics report.
Foreign currency deposits increased by 14.1% on the year to 107 billion lei in October, after growing by 15.5% in September.
