May 25 (SeeNews) - The deposits of the non-governmental sector in Romanian banks grew 11% on the year to 306.9 billion lei ($78 billion/66 billion euro) in April, compared to an annual increase of 10.8% in March, the central bank, BNR, said on Friday.
Leu deposits increased 10.6% year-on-year to 207 billion lei in April, after growing by 10.2% in the previous month, BNR said in a monthly monetary statistics report.
Foreign currency deposits increased by 11.8% on the year to 99.8 billion lei in April, after growing by 11.9% in March.
