BUCHAREST (Romania), October 20 (SeeNews) – Romanian oil and gas group Petrom said on Tuesday it has changed its name to OMV Petrom to reflect ownership.
The group, majority-owned by Austria’s OMV, said in a statement its shareholders approved the rebranding at a general shareholders meeting held earlier on Tuesday.
OMV Petrom’s stock, a component of the Bucharest bourse blue-chip index, was suspended from trading on Tuesday due to the shareholders meeting. It closed 4.4% up at 0.285 lei ($0.099/0.066 euro) on Monday.
