March 28 (SeeNews) - Romania sold on Thursday 1.070 billion lei ($232.2 million/215.2 million euro) worth of fixed-rate government securities maturing on October 28, 2026, above target, central bank data showed.
The average accepted yield came in at 6.13%, unchanged from the previous auction of Treasury paper of the same issue held earlier this month. Demand for the government securities, which have an annual coupon of 7.2%, rose to 1.710 billion lei on Thursday from 1.021 billion lei at the previous auction.
The issue will be reopened on Monday when the finance ministry hopes to raise an additional 75 million lei through a non-competitive tender.
