- Romania's central bank may reduce its key interest rate by 0.5 percentage points to 8.0%, according to analysts in the banking sector polled by the daily.
- France's Renault will launch the first electric cars in Romania in 2012 if it succeeds to implement necessary infrastructure for this type of vehicles, Renault commercial director in Romania Fabrice Cambolive said.
- France's Lafarge Romanian unit, Lafarge Ciment, has delayed the completion of 90 million euro investments, aimed at raising its production capacity, by one year to 2011, Lafarge Ciment CEO Phillipe Questiaux said.

- Romania's energy regulator ANRE will maintain gas and electricity prices unchanged on October 1 and plans to keep them at the same level until April 1 next year, ANRE's head Petru Lificiu said.
- Romania's Liberal Democratic Party (PLD) decided in a meeting late on Sunday to continue its collaboration with the the Social Democratic Party (PSD) in the ruling coalition, but asked Prime Minister Emil Boc to make a decision regarding their partners' attitude, the agency reported. PLD said the government needs to be reshuffled and PSD's Education Minister Ecaterina Andronescu and Interior Minister Dan Nica ought to be replaced.
- Romania's government will sell on the local bourse stakes of up to 5.0% in companies that haven't been sold to strategic investors yet, and will list 10% to 15% of its nuclear energy company Nuclearelectrica, the agency reported.

- Romania and Moldova can now develop bilateral projects that they could not promote in the past few months, Romania's Foreign Minister Cristian Diaconescu said commenting on relations between the two states after the election of a pro-Western government in Moldova.
