ZIARUL FINANCIAR
- French deversified group Saint-Gobain has decided to postpone the construction of two building materials factories in Romania due to the financial crisis, company's officials in Romania said.
- Portuguese retail centres developer Sonae Sierra has decided to raise the capital of its Romanian unit by 4.5 million euro. The capital hike will be financed through a loan, borrowed from local BRD bank last year.

- Some 15,000 Romanians could lose their jobs by the end of the year bringing the total number of unemployed in the country to 600,000, according to the estimates of the National Employment Agency, ANOFM.

- Romanian Tourism Minister Elena Udrea sued the vice-president of the National Liberal Party, Ludovic Orban, for abuse of office on Tuesday, a day after local media made public a discussion held by the inquiry committee led by Orban regarding Udrea's activity.
- Romania is open to other energy projects, including the South Stream pipeline, but the Nabucco gas pipeline remains a priority for the country, Romanian Economy Minister Adriean Videanu said. He added that Romania has received no official invitation so far to join the South Stream gas pipeline project.
