September 28 (SeeNews) - Registrations of new commercial vehicles in Romania rose 8.2% on the year to 9,286 in the first eight months of 2012, provisional data of the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association indicated on Friday.
In August alone, registrations in Romania rose by 18.8% on the year to 1,481, the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association, ACEA, said in a statement on its website.
Registrations in the country of new light commercial vehicles of up to 3.5 tonnes increased 10.6% on the year to 6,706 in January-August. In August alone, registrations grew by 26% on the year to 1,135.
Registrations of new commercial vehicles in the European Union fell by an annual 10.3% to 1.13 million units in the first eight months of the year, ACEA said.
