January 17 (SeeNews) - New York State-based Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) will open in September a university in Tirana, the U.S. embassy in Albania's capital said on Wednesday.
The American University of Technology Tirana will initially offer focus on information technology (IT) and electrical engineering degrees, which will carry the full weight of a U.S. degree, the U.S. embassy said in a social media post.
Besides its main campus in the lakeside city of Rochester, U.S.-accredited RIT also has international campuses in China, Croatia, Dubai and Kosovo, according to its website. Rochester Institute of Technology offers programmes of art and design, business, computing and information sciences, and engineering.
