February 6 (SeeNews) - Flag carrier Qatar Airways will launch regular direct flights from Macedonia's capital Skopje to Doha in Qatar starting from July 17, Macedonian media reported.
"The air carrier has informed us it will start procedures over obtaining flight permits, as the first Skopje-Doha flight will be introduced on July 17," transport minister Vlado Misajlovski said as quoted by the state-owned news agency MIA.
The new route was first announced in March 2016, and was due to be launched in November. In May Qatar Airways decided to push back the launch of the route until early 2017, according to news portal Ex-Yu Aviation.
