January 19 (SeeNews) - Turkish low-cost carrier Pegasus Airlines launched a twice-weekly route connecting Istanbul with Croatia’s capital Zagreb on January 18, the Zagreb airport said.
"We are very happy to welcome Pegasus Airlines as our new partner at Zagreb Airport. This is a great opportunity for both sides, as it will increase the connectivity and accessibility of our destinations, as well as the passenger traffic and tourism potential," CEO of Zagreb Airport Huseyin Bahadır Bedir, said in a press release.
The new service marks Pegasus’ first Croatian route, as well as the first new destination for the airline in 2024 and Adriatic country has become the 50th country in its network.
The flights will be operated on Thursdays and Sundays from the Sabiha Gokcen airport in Turkey.
