September 27 (SeeNews) - Hungarian banking group OTP has subscribed a 1.5 billion dinars ($15 million/12.7 million euro) capital increase of its Serbian unit OTP Banka Srbija, it said on Monday.
The registered capital of the Serbian subsidiary of OTP Bank was increased to 56.831 billion dinars from 55.331 billion dinars, OTP said in a statement.
The capital increase of OTP Banka Srbija was registered with the Serbian Court of Registration, OTP said.
OTP Banka Srbija recorded an after-tax profit without adjustments of 14.8 billion Hungarian forints ($49.3 million/42.1 million euro) in the first half of 2021, up from 3.7 billion forints in the like period of last year. As at the end of June total assets amounted to 2.0 trillion forints, down 2.5% compared to the end-2020 figure.
In Southeast Europe, OTP is also present in Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia and Montenegro.
