March 30 (SeeNews) - Croatian Optima Telekom [ZSE:OPTE-R-A] led the gainers among the blue chips on the Zagreb Stock Exchange (ZSE) on Thursday, bourse data showed.
Optima's shares closed 2.86% higher at 3.48 kuna ($0.50/0.47 euro), as 60,664 shares changed hands.
Member of Croatia's privately-held Agrokor concern, ice cream and frozen food producer Ledo [ZSE:LEDO-R-A], generated the highest trading turnover of 13.9 million kuna. A block transaction of Ledo shares also traded in the value of 13.8 million kuna. The company's share price fell 15.08% to 5,253.9 kuna.
Construction company Viadukt [ZSE:VDKT-R-A] led the blue-chip decliners, as its share price fell 33.01% to 198.12 kuna. Viadukt announced on Thursday that its account has been blocked which may have impacted the price of its shares. The company gave no explanation for the blockage.
The bourse's total trading turnover jumped to 72.9 million kuna on Thursday from 49.3 million kuna on Wednesday.
The 25-share benchmark CROBEX index of the ZSE lost 3.06% to 1,953.39 points, after dropping 2.98% on Wednesday.
The narrower of the bourse's two blue-chip indices, the CROBEX10, which tracks the leading companies in terms of free float, market capitalisation and liquidity, decreased 1.77% to 1,135.80 points after falling 2.72% in the previous trading session.
The fixed-income CROBIS index edged down 0.33% to 109.2457 points.
