September 4 (SeeNews) - Bosnia's largest electricity exporter in the first half of 2018 was EFT Rudnik i Termoelektrana Stanari, the operator of the 300 MW Stanari thermal power plant, the country's energy regulatory commission, DERK, told SeeNews on Tuesday.
EFT Rudnik i Termoelektrana Stanari exported 975 GWh of electricity in the first six months of the year, DERK said in a response to a SeeNews enquiry.
Bosnia exported a total of 3,403 GWh of electricity in the period under review.
The second largest exporter was state-controlled power utility Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske with 572 GWh, while the Bosnian subsidiary of Slovenian electricity trading and sales group Gen-I came in third with 514 GWh.
State-controlled power utilities, Elektroprivreda Bosne i Hercegovine and Elektroprivreda Hrvatske zajednice Herceg Bosne exported 104 GWh and 90 GWh, respectively.
UK-based EFT Group is an energy trading and investment group, focused on Western, Central and Southeast Europe. It was awarded a concession contract to develop the Stanari TPP project in 2008.
