June 7 (SeeNews) - The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) raised its forecast for Croatia's economic growth this year to 2.1% from 0.8% projected in November, it said on Wednesday.
"Output growth is expected to moderate to 2.1% in 2023 and 2.5% in 2024. Rising wages and jobs growth will support households’ real spending. Croatia’s integration in the euro and Schengen areas plus higher disbursement of European funds are expected to bolster investment and exports," OECD said in the June edition of its Global Economic Outlook 2023 report.
Croatia's gross domestic product (GDP) grew by a real 6.3% in 2022.
Inflation will gradually abate from current high rates following the retreat in energy and other international prices, it added.
The OECD Economic Outlook is a twice-yearly analysis of the major global economic trends and prospects for the next two years.
