October 13 (SeeNews) - Serbia's Nis airport said it serviced 98,436 passengers in the first nine months of 2021, down 28.1% year-on-year.
The number of takeoffs and landings at Nis airport fell to 737 in the first nine months of 2021 from 849 in the like period of last year, whereas cargo volume grew to 301.7 tonnes from 374.1 tonnes, figures posted on the website of the Konstantin Veliki Airport in Nis show.
In September alone, the airport handled 19,436 passengers, while 11,663 passengers were serviced in September 2020. The number of takeoffs and landings totalled 316 in September 2021, up 66%. A total of 9.97 tonnes of cargo were processed in September 2021, versus 54.3 tonnes in the ninth month of last year.
Serbia's Nis airport serviced 154,233 passengers in 2020, down 63%.
