January 27 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's government said on Thursday it will invest 11 million euro ($12.3 million) in the construction of a new building and modernisation of the navigation system of M-NAV, the country's air navigation services provider.
The modernisation plan includes procurement of new radars, new communication equipment and new ATM system, the government said in a statement.
The new facility will be built on an area of 1,200 sq m, Fahrudin Hamidi, executive director of M-NAV, said in the statement.
The modernisation is expected to boost the company's capacities and enable more efficient and safe air traffic, North Macedonia's transport minister Blagoj Bochvarski said in the statement.
