October 22 (SeeNews) - Montenegro's August producer prices in the industrial sector rose by 0.6% on the month and were 9.9% lower than a year earlier, central bank data showed on Thursday.
In July, the country's producer price index (PPI) fell by a monthly 1.41% and was 9.3% lower on the year, the central bank, CBCG, said on its website.
In August, prices in the manufacturing industry increased 0.1% on the month, while prices in the mining and quarrying sector and in the electricity, gas and water supply sector remained unchanged, CBCG said in a statement.
The PPI fell on an annual basis in August due to an 15.9% drop in manufacturing industry prices. The prices in the mining and quarrying sector were unchanged, while electricity, gas and water supply prices increased by 4.4%.
