June 3 (SeeNews) - The ratio of non-performing loans (NPLs) to total loans in Montenegro's banking system was 5.9% at the end of March, the central bank said.
The NPL ratio declined by 0.8 of a percentage point on a quarterly basis, the central bank said in a statement on Friday.
At the end of February, the ratio of NPLs to total loans in Montenegro's banking system was 5.04%, the central bank said in March.
The total assets of Montenegrin banks amounted to 4.4 billion euro ($4.9 billion) at the end of March, down 0.1% quarter-on-quarter, the central bank said.
At the end of 2018, Montenegro's NPL ratio stood at 6.91%.
