October 6 (SeeNews) - Moldova's consumer price index (CPI) rose by 0.6% month-on-month in September after a 1.1% monthly fall in August, the country's statistics office said on Tuesday.
Year-on-year, the country's CPI was down 2.3% in September compared to a 2.2% fall in August, the bureau said in a statement.

The government has forecast year-end inflation of 8.6% for 2009, compared to 7.3% in 2008. Last month, the International Monetary Fund cut its end-year inflation forecast for Moldova to 4.0% from 9.0% projected earlier.
Moldova's consumer prices inflation slowed to 7.3% last year from 13.1% in 2007.
