April 24 (SeeNews) - The volume of Moldova's combined railway, road, river and air freight traffic rose 13.6% to some 2.99 million tonnes in the first three months of the year, the country's statistical office BNS said on Tuesday.
Calculated in freight tonne-kilometres (FTK), traffic increased 6.4% to some 1.01 million FTK in the January-March period, the National Bureau of Statistics (BNS) said in a monthly report.
In March alone, the volume of Moldova's freight edged up 1% on the month and was 14.5% higher on the year, at 1.1 million tonnes.

The total volume of Moldova's railway, road, river, and air freight traffic grew by 23.8% year-on-year in 2017, reaching some 17.3 million tonnes.
