November 5 (SeeNews) - Moldova's consumer price index (CPI) rose by 1.5% month-on-month in October after a 0.6% monthly fall in September, the country's statistics office said on Tuesday.
Year-on-year, the country's CPI was down 1.6% in October compared to a 2.3% fall in September, the bureau said in a statement.

The government has forecast year-end inflation of 8.6% for 2009, compared to 7.3% in 2008. The International Monetary Fund sees Moldova's end-2009 inflation at 4.0%.
Moldova's consumer prices inflation slowed to 7.3% last year from 13.1% in 2007.
