August 7 (SeeNews) - Moldova's trade deficit increased by 19.8% year-on-year to $1.15 billion (975 million euro) in the first six months of 2017, the country's statistical bureau, BNS, said on Monday.
Moldova's exports rose 13.6% on the year to $1.02 billion in the January-June period, while imports totalled $2.18 billion, up 16.8%.
In June alone, Moldova's exports rose 8.7% on the year to $171.1 million, whereas imports increased 19.8% to $388.8 million.
Moldova's trade deficit decreased 2.2% to $1.97 billion last year.
