February 20 (SeeNews) - Moldova's construction output fell by an annual 14% in 2022, the country's statistical office, BNS, said on Monday.
New construction works volume decreased by an annual 12% in 2022, BNS said in a press release.
In 2022, capital repair works fell by an annual 33%, while other construction works decreased by 7% on the year. Maintenance works saw an increase of 2.6% on the year in 2022.
The volume of works performed on residential buildings in 2022 shrank by 23%, while works performed on engineering constructions were down 10.2% on the year. Works non-residential buildings fell by an annual by 11.5% in 2022.
Moldova's construction output edged down by an annual 0.3% in 2021 after rising by an annual 3.7% in 2020.
