March 22 (SeeNews) - Moldova's consolidated budget deficit surged to 868.7 million lei ($50.5 million/44.3 million euro) in the first two months of 2019 from up by 71% compared to the previous year, finance ministry data showed on Friday.
Consolidated budget revenue rose by an annual 8.8% to 5 billion lei through February, while spending increased 15% to 5.87 billion lei, the ministry said in a statement posted on its website.
Moldova's consolidated budget includes the central government budget, provincial governments' budgets, the social insurance budget and the public health insurance budget.
The country targets a budget deficit of 5.54 billion lei for the entire year.
