September 12 (SeeNews) - The foreign exchange reserves held by Moldova's central bank, BNM, decreased by $7.19 million net in June, reaching $2.963 billion (2.554 billion euro), BNM said on Wednesday.
Foreign exchange inflows totalled $52.3 million in July, BNM said in a monthly report.
Those inflows represented mainly interventions on the domestic foreign exchange market in the form of currency purchases amounting to $41 million.
Foreign exchange outflows totalled $59.5 million in July, representing maily depreciation by $9.46 million of currencies in Moldova's foreign exchange reserves relative to the US dollar.
The gold reserves held by BNM were worth $2.852 million at the end of July, lower than $2.995 million at end-June.
