Moldova's unemployment rate inched down to 3.1% in 2022 from 3.2% a year earlier, the country's statistical office said.
The number of unemployed in the country of 2.6 million people was 27,700 last year, down from 28,200 in 2021, the National Bureau of Statistics said in a statement on Friday.
The jobless rate was 10.7% among people aged between 15 and 24, up from 9.2% a year earlier, and 5.6% among people aged between 15 and 29, down from 5.7% in 2021.
The workforce in the country reached 862,300 in 2022, increasing by an annual 2.2%.
Last year, the unemployment rate among men in Moldova was 3.5% versus 2.6% among women.
The statistics bureau also said the jobless rate in 2022 reached 3.6% in urban areas, compared to 2.7% in rural areas.
