February 16 (SeeNews) - Moldova's trade deficit narrowed 2.2% on the year to $1.97 billion (1.87 billion euro) in 2016, figures from the statistics office showed on Thursday.
Moldova's exports rose 4%, while imports grew 0.8% in 2016, the statistics office,BNS, said in a statement.
In December alone, exports rose 18.6% on the year to $193.9 million, while imports were up 11% to $391.4 million.
