November 24 (SeeNews) - The Moldovan central bank, BNM, sold 132.6 million lei ($12 million/8.0 million euro) in four Treasury bill issues on Tuesday, above its target offer of 102 million lei, as yields mostly fell.
Primary dealers placed bids for a total of 300.9 million lei worth of government securities in the auction, BNM said in a statement. The central bank, which sells the T-bills on behalf of the Finance Ministry, offered 21-day, 91-day, 182-day and 364-day T-bills.
The yield on the 21-day T-bills remained unchanged from the previous auction last Tuesday at 2.46%. Dealers placed bids for 33.4 million lei worth of T-bills versus 22 million lei on offer.
The yield on the 91-day T-bills fell to 4.49% from 5.00% at the previous auction on November 17. Dealers placed bids for 79.5 million lei worth of T-bills versus 28 million lei on offer.
The 182-day T-bills yielded 9.65%, lower than the 10.16% achieved on November 17. The BNM received bids for 146.4 million lei worth of T-bills, compared to 40 million lei on offer.
The yield on the 364-day T-bills was down to 10.83% from 10.99% at the previous auction, as dealers placed bids for 41.6 million lei worth of T-bills versus 12 million lei on offer.
