October 13 (SeeNews) - The Moldovan central bank, BNM, sold 106.6 million lei ($9.6 million/6.5 million euro) in four Treasury bill issues on Tuesday, above its target offer of 82 million lei, as yields on three of the issues fell, while one remained unchanged.
Primary dealers placed bids for a total of 168.5 million lei worth of government securities in the auction, BNM said in a statement. The central bank, which sells the T-bills on behalf of the Finance Ministry, offered 21-day, 91-day, 182-day and 364-day T-bills.
The yield on the 21-day T-bills remained unchanged from the previous auction on October 6 at 3.0%. Dealers placed bids for 25.3 million lei worth of T-bills versus 14 million lei on offer.
The yield on the 91-day T-bills decreased to 6.55% from 6.56% at the previous auction. Dealers placed bids for 45.1 million lei worth of T-bills versus 27 million lei on offer.
The 182-day T-bills yielded 11.23%, lower than the 11.42% achieved on October 6. The BNM received bids for 82.2 million lei worth of T-bills, compared to 31 million lei on offer.
The yield on the 364-day T-bills was down to 11.37% from 11.45% at the previous auction, as dealers placed bids for 15.9 million lei worth of T-bills versus 10 million lei on offer.
