November 15 (SeeNews) - The number of tourists staying in Macedonia through September rose by 10.9% to 532,512, the country's statistics office said.
Tourist overnights increased by 6.9% to some 1.92 million in the first nine months of the year, with foreign nationals accounting for 614,057 of the total, the office said in a statement published on its website on Monday.
In September alone, a total of 58,620 tourists visited Macedonia, up by 30.5% on the year, while overnights increased by an annual 37.1% to 146,044.
