SKOPJE (Macedonia), December 24 (SeeNews) – The Macedonian Minister for Local Self-Government, Abdirahman Memeti, has submited his resignation to Prime Minister Nikola Greuvski due to personal reasons, state-run news agency MIA reported on Monday.
"I hope that you will accept my resignation, which is presented due to serious personal reasons,” MIA quoted Memeti as saying.
Additional information about the resignation was not available.
The Prime Minister appointed Memeti after Zoran Konnjanovski resigned from the post earlier this year. Memeti is a member of the ethnic Albanian Party for Democratic Prosperity (PDP), one of several ethnic Albanian parties in Macedonia, which has been in opposition since 1998. He was his party's only representative in the cabinet
The Macedonian coalition cabinet includes another ethnic Albanian party, the Democratic Party of Albanians (DPA).
