March 6 (SeeNews) - Macedonia's government has called a tender for a 30-year public-private partnership (PPP) for the construction of a gas distribution network linking the municipalities in Skopje and in the western and eastern districts to the primary gas network.
The project has an estimated value of 150 million euro, the government said in a press release on Friday.
The tender has already been announced in Macedonian newspapers and will be published in the European Union's public procurement database TED within the next days.
The construction Klecovce-Stip gas pipeline, which is part of the primary gas distribution network, has been completed by Russian company StroyTrans Gas.
A consortium of five Macedonian companies is currently working on the construction of Stip-Negotino and Negotino-Bitola pipelines.
According to Vladimir Peshevski, deputy prime minister for economic affairs, 70% of the country's gasification will be completed by 2022.
