- Greece will ask its allies in the European Union to postpone the launch of accession negotiations with Macedonia by the beginning of April, according to sources familiar with the issue.
- The introduction of visa-free travel for Macedonian citizens by the European Union will help to increase the presence of Macedonian companies on the European markets and vice versa, more companies from the EU member states are expected to enter the Macedonian market, the president of Skopje-based Economic Chamber, Branko Azeski, said.

- Macedonian Foreign Minister Antonio Milososki proposed to Greece's Prime Minister George Papandreou and Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitris Drucas to elevate the two countries' diplomatic missions to liaison offices or embassies and to sign a bilateral agreement for avoiding double taxation. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the OSCE ministerial meeting in Athens.
- The number of passengers in road traffic in Macedonia totalled 2.947 million in the third quarter, 10.3% up from a year earlier. The number of passengers travelling by railroad rose 2.0% to 355,000, while passenger air traffic fell by 9.1% to 223,638, the Statistics Office reported.
