July 9 (SeeNews) - The number of building permits issued in Macedonia in May fell by 7.2% on the year to 194, the statistics office said on Wednesday.
The estimated value of construction projects covered by the building permits issued in May rose by 236.3% on the year to 5.8 billion denars ($129 million/95 million euro), according to data from the statistics office.
A total of 139 permits were issued for new buildings, 27 for civil engineering projects and 28 for reconstruction projects in May.
As many as 150 permits were issued to individuals and 44 to companies.
